Authors on the Move is coming up this Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Sacramento.
The event will get underway at 5:00 pm with complimentary champagne and wine, book sales, and a chance to meet the authors. Borders Books and Music is donating 20% of all book sales to the Library Foundation, so any book purchases further helps Sacramento’s libraries.
Dinner seating is at 6:15 pm. There will be a delicious four-course meal with red and white wine included. During the dinner, three different authors will join each table. The dinner also includes a live auction and special presentations by two featured authors Alice Sebold (The Lovely Bones) and her husband David Glen Gold (Sunnyside).
After dinner, books will again be for sale and the authors will be on hand to sign their books. If you want to meet an author who was not at your table, then you will have a chance to do so. Self parking is available in the Hyatt Hotel garage for $7. Guests will receive a discount parking voucher at check-in. Most guests dress in business attire, but you are free to dress up as much as you like.
