For years the Arizona Department of Real Estate Buyer Advisory document has guided home buyers with the necessary due diligence aspect of purchasing a home.  In fact, most brokers require agents to deliver this document to buyer during the inspection process.  With the continuing and escalating growth of short sales in the Phoenix Arizona market, the Arizona Department of Real Estate and the Arizona Association of Realtors have developed the Short Sale Advisory. This is a welcomed document that gives guidance for those that find themselves with a financial hardship needing to sell but their home has negative equity.  It provides assistance and website resources regarding identifying predatory rescue scams and short sale fraud. There are also lists of HUD-approved housing counselors to assist homeowners. Helpful links and information are provided regarding the options to distressed homeowners facing foreclosure as well as legal and tax considerations of short sales.

For more information regarding foreclosure options and short sales in the east valley and Phoenix areas, contact Gordon Baker at 480-326-8571, and visit Phoenix foreclosure options.
