Kansas City Market Report - Waldo +
The Wonderful Waldo Neighborhood is just south of the Brookside neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. Waldo, like it's upscale neighbor Brookside, is an established neighborhood close to the Harry Wiggins Trolley Track Trail; the trail actually runs through parts of Waldo.
The tree lined streets and the close proximity to shops, restaurants and bars make this Kansas City neighborhood popular. You will find homes built in the 1920's through the 1960's in Waldo. Bungalows and ranches prevail though you will also see traditional 2 story homes as well as some split levels in Waldo.
Homes in Waldo may be small, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 600 sq. ft. structures or they may be 5 bedroom, 3 bath homes of 3,000+ square feet in size. Some are very plain in design while others have the charming architectural details that so many homebuyers seek.
First time homebuyers looking on the Missouri side of Kansas City are often drawn to the Waldo area because of the home prices, proximity, and friendly neighbors. If you want to buy a home in this vicinity, please feel free to search for your next home here.
