Bruce this is so right there is definitely a disconnect with some people on what they consider the right attire to go meet with a client. I have met with some "professionals" that seemed like they grabbed their clothes from the bottom of the clothes bin or tried to iron it with a hot rock. I am starting to wonder if this should be a class taught for some to get the hint.

I usually try to dress for the "occassion". If I am showing a farm or ranch, boots and jeans. A $1M+ property, a suit or dress and heels. In the end, it's all about your knowledge of the market and how well you sell yourself and your services.
