Chim chiminey
Chim chiminey
Chim chim cher-ee!
A sweep is as lucky
As lucky can be

Chim chiminey
Chim chiminey
Chim chim cher-oo!
Good luck will rub off when
I shake 'ands with you
Or blow me a kiss
And that's lucky too

- Mary Poppins

Here in Austin, Texas, the weather has been crazy. One day it's cold (even snowing), next day, it's raining, and the day after that everyone is out enjoying the sunny weather. We have a saying here in Texas, just wait 10 minutes and the weather will change.

I recently had a buyer who just received their home inspection and one of the things mentioned was a busted chimney cap and chimney in need of cleaning and repairing. I asked around the office and here's what I found. AREA WIDE CHIMNEY SWEEP & AIR DUCT CLEANING - AKA CHARLES FISK. He's the owner and manager. They do No Mess Chimney Sweeping, Restorations, Caps and Repairs. Plus they also do air duct and dryer vent cleaning too. Phone number (512) 924-9686 or cell (512) 323-0698

Charles was a really interesting guy and even showed up in a Top Hat, straight from the movies, and for a second there, I thought he was Dick Van Dyke. I thought Julie Andrews, aka Mary Poppins was going to show up with her umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh....

When you get an estimate from them (about $50), and you use them for chimney work later, they will credit you the $50 on your bill. One last thing, Charles says just like the lyrics above, to shake a chimney sweeps hand is good I went and bought a lottery ticket!

Hi Andy,

He's a funny character and usually busy this time of the year but he's worth it. Stay warm!
