Hi Gerry, haven't seen or talked to you in a while. Just stopping by to leave you a comment. Those moose kill more people than bears I believe. They are the deadliest or 2nd deadliest animal I seem to recall?
Mary,
Thank you. It must not easy to hide out when you are the size of a moose. It may not be easy but the next time you spot one, see if you can capture it with your camera and share with us here on Moose Monday.
Robert,
They are wild animal and no one should try and get too close to any one of them especially a mother moose with a baby moose. I did not know about the stastistics you mentioned. The photo above was taken from the safety of my car. Thanks for dropping by to comment.
Hi Gerry ~ Now that you're back in town I'm sure there will be more moose sightings. We love Moose Mondays!!

Liz,
Thank you for the nice comment and for being one the raving fans of Moose Monday! :)
Gerry - That moose looks like it is on a mission! I hope it wasn't chasing anyone you know:-)
Hello Gerry and that is a great moose photo and I am going to have to see if I can dig up some moose pics!
VB ;o)
Hi Gerry, This photo was a good find, I think they are just magnificent, and that's no bull :-)
Beautiful photograph but I would not want to be anywhere near that thing. It looks very healthy and proud--nice shot.
Myrl,
It was not chasing anyone. I was the only one doing the chasing on that day. :)
Vegas Bob,
Thank you. I am looking forward to seeing what moose photos you dig up.
Tony,
He changed directions many times but no matter which way he headed towards, he seemed to be in a hurry.
Marc,
A very moostastic day indeed especially a day after doing some market statistics for my area. :)
Mary,
I am glad you came by to check this magnificient moose. Thank you for the chuckle.
John,
Thank you. He must be very proud judging by the sizer of his antlers and the way he carried himself with his head high above his shoulder.
Hi Gerry, I just noticed that you are 1 post shy of 150,000 points. Let me be the first to congratulate you for all your hard work and moose hunting. I will be waiting for the big party post lol.
Hi Gerry...........I'm also a big moose fan. We were fortunate to see a great many on our RV trip to Alaska many years ago. One of my husband's sons lived in Yaak for several years and we always saw Moose on our visits there. I could walk almost right up to them, they never ran (I made sure not to bark ;-) I'll have to look through some of my old shots.......not DSLR though. Thanks for sharing.
Jenny,
Thank you. I believe you reached 200,000 points before I got to 150,000 points. Congrats as well!
Gail,
There are several posts of moose sightings all over the country and a good number of them are from Alaska thanks to the regular contributions to the Moose Monday group by Debra Leisek. I do hope that you come back and share some of the old shots you took of the moose in Yaak. All my contributions to Moose Monday are with a point and shoot.
Thanks for the positive feedback! :)
We have moose here too and they like to hide out in and blend in with the trees as soon as people are about so good luck. Beautiful area there.
