My New Favorite Quote for Rookie Agents and Trainees

By
Education & Training with Esslinger Wooten Maxwell

"Never be afraid to try something new. Amateurs built the Ark; Professionals built the Titanic."
________________________________________________________________________________________

Not sure who said it, but how profound.

Never be afraid --

FEAR is defined as False Evidence Appearing Real.

Toe test the waters of your new career?  NO -- SET SAIL IMMEDIATELY.

Because you have charted your course, completed your pre-flight checklist --

Most of your trips will be smooth sailing -- however,

Occasionally, your ship will hit coral rock or get swept up in a hurricane.

You will cry, "Man Overboard!" -- and that's ok.  Sometimes it was something you did or something that was done to you!  In either event --

Our managers and support staff will hear you and throw you a rope

-- and help you get back in the boat.

So, what's to fear? Get Selling!baby

I was just about to crash for the night when I found this quote. Timing is everything. With all the constant challenges in life and career little pearls of wisdom can make such a difference in our perceptionof things. I certainly appreciate you taking the time to share such a thought provoking statement.  May I use this quote freely? If so is there someone I should credit?

Thank you again

Karen, how wonderful to see you on Active Rain sharing of your wisdom.  Why should EWM agents be the only ones to benefit from it?  =)  Loved the post!

Dionne -- I googled the quote before I wrote the piece -- I could find no author.  I have a feeling a prolific pastor had it in a sermon somewhere and it just caught on.  If anyone finds the author, please share so that  s/he takes the credit!

If you google the quote, you will find cute writings like, "Everything I Ever Needed to Know in Life I learned from Noah." or something like that.  Go for it!
