Ever wonder where the largest St. Patrick's Day Parade in North Carolina takes place?? Raleigh?? Charlotte?? No & No, it takes place on the Outer Banks in the town of Nags Head. This year marks the 21st annual Kelly's St. Patrick's Day Parade that has evolved into a must see event that draws up to 10,000 spectators. The years parade kicks off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, on the Beach Road. The one-mile parade route, MP 11.25-10.25 Nags Head, is known for lots of marching bands, marching/walking units, cars, and floats. It would not be a Kelly's event without Kelly's hospitality. After the Parade the entire community is invited to Kelly's Restaurant & Tavern for a post parade party-Irish American style.
If you are anywhere near the Outer Banks take a drive down to participate in the states largest St. Patrick's Day Parade. It's well worth it!!
