Simple, Step-by-Step Short Sale Process

I'm often asked to provide a simple, step-by-step process for negotiating short sales. Believe it or not, it is a fairly simple, straight forward process so I'm giving you a special report with all of the steps. It's those little details that pop up that can make or break your deal (hence the 10% national average for short sale approvals vs. my 79% average). Great post Joel. I think for some step one should be "Dial 269-685-5921". lol. A referral in the hand is worth any potential lawsuits hiding in the bush. While you have done a great presentation, I think I will still pass the short sales on and focus on what I do best.

What we need is a standardized way that banks respond to short sales! One lender responds in 48 hours another in 90 days. Just had a response after continued phone calls that all of the information in the packet is "to old for the investor" and needs updating. Well DUH you held it for 3 months before you processed it. So it is almost as if we are submitting an entire new package. Grrrrr.

Cindy, I hear ya! Having a standardized short sale process is part of the goal with HAFA. This is a very tall order to fill. As I discuss here, http://activerain.com/blogsview/1518062/hafa-or-haha, unless HAFA is drastically modified, I believe it's going to fail miserably.
