Re: Blogging, don't believe what you don't see

Services for Real Estate Pros

Blogging is kind of interesting.  Have you ever thought of the number of people who actually look at your blog and don't make comments?  Believe me they do exist.  They do see it and many of them do read your blog.  Just because you are not getting as many comments as you would like, know that you've got readers.

You would be amazed how the same blog in different networks get totally different responses.  I've blogged here in this network and gotten "no" responses and I've used the same blog in different networks and got overwhelming responses. (Notice I didn't name any  That's to give you a chance to respond to this blog.

Seriously, I want to encourage you to continue to blog.  Another key is to comment on the blogs of interest to you.  We bloggers tend to return the favor when a fellow blogger makes a comment on our blog.  In fact, a lot of new friendships are created and believe it or not sometimes new business comes from just being nice to another blogger.

In closing, just because you don't see comments on your blog doesn't mean you don't have readers.

Keep on blogging,

Ced Reynolds

I think it all comes home to me when I look at my statistics page. I certainly don't get a lot of comments, but I do get a lot of views.

Great Comment.  I believe you can see how many times it has been looked at if you go to the "my blog" section and look at the individual blog for statistics.

As Vickie stated, I always look at the statistics to see how many views there were... That certainly makes you feel better when there are no comments. Localisim posts never get comments but get the most views...

Thanks for the comments Vickie and Geoff. Most of the blogging platforms I use are not as savvy as Active Rain and don't have a statistics feature. The statistics page is kinda what prompted me to write this blog for bloggers in the several platforms I use just to encouurage them to keep blogging.

Now that I am making a comment, I can say "Active Rain" because it won't show up on my other

Cedric, it's funny how some people are at a loss when it comes down to writing what they're thinking.  Just let it flow as if you were talking instead of typing. Say what is on your mind.   And I agree, reciprocating will build relationships.

Robert, thanks for your comments.  It does make you feel good when you see the number of views and click throughs.

Craig, thanks your for commetns also.  Writing does come easier for some than others.  I agree with you that just letting it flow like we are talking makes it come across really natural.
