Here is a great way to reward the people who helped us during that terrible snowstorm just two weeks ago from Senator Bonacic. Click on the link and nominate those usually nameless, faceless people who help us everyday.
The recent snow storms created hazardous conditions throughout the Hudson Valley and Catskills. I know many people were impacted by this. My son lost power on Thursday and did not regain it until the following Monday night, and I know that story was repeated throughout our region.
Anytime disaster strikes, many people, both volunteer and paid, play a key role in keeping people safe, making sure basic needs are met, and of course ensuring power is restored so people can return to their daily lives.
Key to allowing our lives to return to normal were the actions of our firefighters, EMS workers, police, highway workers, and utility workers and volunteers. You may be one of them, you may be married to one, or you may know one who worked to help us through the storm.
If you would like to honor someone who helped us through the February, 2010 snowstorm for a special Senate honor, this is your opportunity to do so.
I invite you to nominate someone (or a group of people) to honor them for their efforts during the storm. Below, please find a link to a press release and a PDF (at the bottom of the press release) which can be filled out and faxed, mailed, or emailed in, nominating people for special Senate recognition for their efforts during the storm.

THANK YOU
