You still have time to take advantage of the Home Buyer Tax Credit when you are looking to buy you home in Middle Tennessee. 

Home Buyers Tax Credit

You still have time to make this happen.  You just need to be under contract on or before 04/30/2010 and your puchase need to close and fund prior to 06/30/2010.

For the First Time Home Buyer (you have not owned a primary residance in the 3 years prior to closing) you can get up to $8000.00 tax credit which can be amended to 2009's return or used for 2010.

for the Existing Homebuyer. (You must have owned your primary residence for 5 of the previous 8 years prior to closing.)  Up to $6500.00 tax credit.  You can use the tax credit on you 2009 return or your 2010 return. 

This is no small thing.  If you know of anyone thinking about buying a home please have them call me at 615-243-1301 or send them to my website at we can get them pre-qualified and turned around to their realtor and make this happen now.

This is such an exciting time for first time home buyers to purchase!  I hope they extend this tax credit because it has offered so many people a nice opportunity, but you never know.  I am glad you are making this tax credit known in your area, it is so important! - kim

Still surprised how many existing buyers aren't aware of the $6500 credit.   Guess I haven't been getting the word out.
