Keller Williams Excellence in Towson, MD will be holding a day of fun and fund raising for KW Cares. This is a charity to help KW associates and their immediate families with hardships that are a result of a sudden circumstance.
CARES stands for Caring Associates Responding in Emergency Situations. Although we operate our businesses as independent contractors, we are all extended members of one big Keller Williams family. When something happens to one, others are affected as well. It is through adversity when our true colors are flown and we come to the aid of our fellow associates.
On Christmas Eve of this past year, we lost a dear member of our KWX family, Chris Boozer. He and his wife Kathie have 3 young sons, Cole, Greyson and Evan. We knew that their education would be a prime concern for Kathie, so the Keller Williams International Team came along side them to help raise money for an education fund for the boys.
During our Family Reunion, held in New Orleans just last month, an art auction was held and visited by more than 8,000 associates, guests and vendors who attended FR. A portion of the proceeds went to help Kathie and her boys for their future educational endeavors. Nothing can replace Chris, but it means a lot to know that his life meant so much to others.
I am so proud to be a member of a company that takes to heart the family concept. As a mother of 5 and grandmother of 6, family is very important to me and I enjoy being part of something bigger than myself. God - Family - Business, in just that order, is the motto of the company and I love working in an office where sharing and helping are at the core of how we operate.
