The sun is shining, it is starting to warm up a bit, the clouds are billowy and white. It is the perfect Open House weekend after several weeks of snow and cold weather. My signs are pointing the way to the best home on the mountain. So where are they? The buyers, the looky loos, anybody. I'm ready, I have my computer, all the maps, listing info, and latest real estate magazines. I have prayed.. I'm ready.
I have received the SFR certification for the short sale and foreclosure course I've studies the information. I'm ready. In fact I just wrote an offer for a short sale property. I'm ready.
Are the buyers ready? Are they ready to take advantage of the best real estate buys in decades and the low interest rates? I think some are, some aren't. Oh sure, there are challenges out there, buyers lenders, the process, dealing with entities that don't seem to quite have a handle on how to streamline the foreclosure home buying process, and the economy, they weren't ready. .
I recently showed property, or I attempled to show property in San Bernadino in the low price range, $50,000. to $80,000. Of the 15 that were selected by my client, all were either in escrow, negotiating on multiple offers or had been pulled from the market to either go to auction or for loan modification. So things are happening. They were ready.
My area, Lake Arrowhead, is part full time and part vacation home ownership. It's the trickle up effect for us. We can already see an improvement in our market, even though we had a snowy winter, and tax time is just around the corner.
Coldwell Banker Sky Ridge Realty will be holding a meeting at the Lake Arrowhead Country Club on March 27 at 2:00 pm. Realtors, clients and friends are welcome. The topic of the meeting is the state of mountain real estate.
I'll be ready.
