BTW, H2G stands for Honest to Goodness. I gotta give credit where credit is due. H2G contractors remind me of Two Men and a Truck. When I first started working with H2G in 2007, that's pretty much what they were: Two Men and a Truck.
Today, H2G Husbands is doing a bang up job of branding the company and developing a reputation around Birmingham as a reliable and trustworthy contractors. Several months ago, I recommended that Joe Lockette, founder of H2G Husbands join Facebook. I had no idea at the time, how powerful of a presence Joe would be. Talk about maximizing social media. Thus far, Joe and H2G Husbands have:
Created a recognizable brand
Made television, radio, social and print media work for them
Established the $25 Husband as a permanent service that started out as a short term promotion (it's more like a community service)
He's known on Facebook as "Ask Joe" where members can just ask him questions about home repairs, renovations, etc. Facebook loves Joe. Go ahead, Just Ask Joe.
Has a reliable team of business partners and crew.
And that's just to start. Check out Birmingham Alabama's H2G Husband and "Ask Joe" on Facebook. There motto: H2G will do or make repairs that your husband or boyfriend won't.
Although I'm not related to anyone at H2G Husbands, I'm known to all simply as "Sis." Don't know what I would have done without them over the years.
