Thanks for showing-now where's the FEEDBACK!!!!!!

Reblogger Geoff ONeill
Real Estate Agent with John L. Scott Medford

It is really imperative that feedback is given, especially when the home has been sitting for a while.  Some sellers just need to hear what the buyer thought.  Buyer's agents... please don't think of it as an imposition.  You'll need feedback on one of your listings someday.  On the other hand, Listing agents - Please don't call me in an hour while I'm still out showing properties and ask for feedback.

Miss manners I'm not and PC definitely not, but there is one thing that gets my goat on a regular basis in this industry.

I don't believe it's a particular brokerage although some from specic firms are worse than others. I'm just venting a little here but I think it's integral to our business and professional appearance to give feedback after a showing.

We're all very busy people. The last thing we need to do is track an agent down only to remind them of the style, color, street..whatever..of the listing they showed!

Feedback is key to providing our sellers the information on what they can change if needed regarding their home be it price or condition. It only take a few seconds to do so what is the big problem??

Agents everywhere beware the wrath filled phone call of the pursuing selling agent and just do us all a favor!

PLEASE just give us some flippin FEEDBACK!

I totally agree!  It must be agents that don't deal much with sellers or they would understand the importance of feedback.  It takes so litte time, especially if the feedback form is sent via email.  Our appointment center automatically sends the form with a picture of the property so the agent can remember which one it is and asks to fill out the 3 questions and make comments if they want. How hard can that be?  If the seller hears about the same "silly little thing" from enough people, it could be just the motivator to make them take action.

"I listen for a living." It's all about you.

Getting feedback for your efforts is something we all need, constantly to improve.  I think the follow through goes both ways.  I hope those who want feedback are making sure they give feedback.  In any area you work you will run into the same people over and over. Start with those people, reach out to them through the phone to find out. After a while you have another connection to someone working the same area and willing to collaborate, and dare I say, refer.  I think I am basically saying, give to get and don't ever expect to get back in the same measure than you give, we are all different in give in our own ways.
