Squawk, squawk, Yes it is I Paradise Pete's Parrot. My name? Dah, I dona know! But Pete's my savior, rescued from the wilds of the Bronx before I learned how to speak Spanish. No I dona know how to speak Spanish, yo no sé cómo hablar español. So here I am in sunny Palm Beach, Florida riding on the back of my pal Pete. He's a realtor you know, YOU KNOW? Top gun! Best in the Biz! Cares for his clients like, dah, me? Squawk, squawk!!
Was with him the other day, beautiful, sunny, warm, that's right WARM, in the 60's, when he met up with these folks from up norte. I can spell rite too! They say to Pete, "we are looking for a deal on an upscale condo on the beach", dah, like who aint. That's my Bronx accent. Well, that's right up Pete's alley. Mr. Condo on the beach Pete! So he goes to work, researches all Toscana condo's and finds three that might work for these norteingers.
For those of you who don't know, Toscana is in Highland Beach, one of the best beach front communities in Palm Beach County, Florida. It is also one of the newest, circa 2004+, full service, luxury high rises in the area. At the height of the real estate boom apartments of 2000+ square feet were going for over 1 million dólares (dollars for you non Bronxites). Now, there's a ton on the market, foreclosures, bank owned, upside downers, inside outers, I thik Im getting carried away.
So Pete picks up the norteingers at their hotel and takes them to Toscana. He's a wall streeter with money to burn, always on his Blackberry and she is the interpreter. He only speaks Blackberry. So here he is sitting in the front seat, head in his lap, checking on stock prices and texting Pete! I want a deal on an apartment that has both intracoastal and ocean views!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't tell you that Pete is an ABR, Accredited Buyers Representative, and once he converts his customers to clients, he provides' them with full fiduciary responsibility. Of course, Pete thinks this relationship should go both ways. After all, Pete works hard for his clients shouldn't his clients be loyal to him?
Pete finds him an apartment with the views he wants, in almost perfect condition, I say to Pete, I'll take it, Pete tells me to keep quiet, $300k below the next priced apartment with similar views, bank owned. So what does Mr. Wall Streeter say, "Highland Beach is nice, but I'd like to see other areas". Squawk, squawk!
My Pete is a pro, says to Mr. Wall Streeter, "This is the best deal in Highland Beach at the moment and it won't last, similar to when you have a stock that is priced real low but could add a bunch a points in no time. However, if now is not the right time that's ok, you should be confident and comfortable with whatever decision you make." Now I know why I love Pete, thinks more of others than himself. Hmmm, wouldn't you be lucky to know Paradise Pete! Squawk, squawk!!
