Homes Staying On the Market Longer Solution #1

With homes staying on the market longer the best solution when selling your home is to have it Staged.  Staging you home can and will bring you top dollar for your home.  I have seen so many homes on the market today that are nowhere near the point of being ready to sell.  People are still under the impression that they don't have to do anything to their home to sell it.  I like to use the Staging analogy of selling your car from Barb Schwarz the CEO of Stagedhomes.com.  What's the first thing you do when you are ready to sell your car?  You wash it and clean everything and spray the new car smell in it.  Well selling your home is the same principle.  When you sell your home you are going to move right?  Well with Staging your home we'll help you pack up early and freshen up your home, just like preparing your car for sale.

I'm sold on staging. I think its a benefit that homesellers need to here during a presentation. I can't wait to take the course.

As a home stager, I can't agree with you more.  I look forward to the day when staging a listing is as commonplace as home inspections.

Staging is newer to Long Island although I've been doing it for years (not by that name).  It always seemed to me that making a listing look more attractive would help it sell faster and higher.  Lately I'm finding it easier to talk to some sellers about the concept.

If you are interested in becoming an Accredited Staging Professional or Hiring a Professional Stager, log onto the web site www.stagedhomes.com.  They will have course information and lists of Stagers in your area.  I offer my services as a Realtor and a Stager however, it's best to have an outside opinion to help set the "Stage."

Thanks Susan,

I had noticed a class here on Long Island at the end of November, from the website, but unfortunately I'll be out of town. I'll take the next one in 2007.
