Selling your home quickly involves many different things and one of those are making sure you have a better looking house then the rest!  One way to do this is staging but usually before your home is staged, it is a good idea to have your agent walked through the home and give you great suggestions.  You'll be surprised that some of the responses your real estate agent will give you, for example: neutral colors all throughout the house....  I often get a surprised look on the Sellers face when I discussed this with them.

Remember that you now are transforming yourself into a home seller and that job is much different than being a home owner.  When you're selling your home, you are no longer going to be a homeowner, your role will be a home seller instead.  This means there will be some necessary work to be done in order to be a home seller.  Since you customized the home to fit you please realize that your taste is much different than the buyer taste.  Real estate agents work with buyers and Sellers every day.

Keep an open mind when be a real estate agent, gives you all the feedback on making your home ready for sale.  Implementing the items on the real estate agents checklist, will help ensure a smooth sale, faster sale, higher sales price for you the seller, and best of all will get the job done and less time on the market.
