I know that there must be thousands of you who are feeling the same way I am about the ActiveRain outside blog program.
We all love ActiveRain. We think it's affecting our business in a positive way. BUT (and this is a BIG BUT) we are sick of the outside blog proxy errors, sick of the outside blog taking FOREVER to load, and more recently sick of proxy errors even on the main ActiveRain site.
If you're like me, ActiveRain support has been telling you for months that they are working on a fix...
Let's all wake up, here. The fix isn't happening. We need to stand together and voice our opinion to ActiveRain. This needs to get fixed. It needs to get fixed now. It needs to get fixed permamently. We don't want to hear that there is no permament fix. Those of us who also have Wordpress and Blogger blogs know that we're not experiencing these problems on those sites. There IS a way to fix it, if that means starting from scratch and re-building the whole system. We can't go on PAYING for the outside blog and PAYING for RAINMAKER status when it's not working correctly.
Please, please, please pass this along. Share it with other ActiveRain users you know. Mark it as a blog for the front page... whatever you can do. We deserve some honest answers from ActiveRain on this, and MOST OF ALL we deserve to see this problem resolved.
Thanks!
Justin
Justin - I too am close to moving to another platform and have already discussed the possibility with my webmaster. I like AR, but am unwilling to continue paying full price for poor service.
Being rather new to Active Rain, I did not know there was a big issue. When taking training recently, had the proxy error. AR trainer stated that they are working on a new server upgrade.
Wow, John. It's saying a lot when you say you're considering leaving ActiveRain! You're an ActiveRain giant! Thanks for the comment.
Robert, I am fairly new to AR also, but I need this site to be nails.
I have put much into this site and hope there is a fix soon. My links are good but clients will not put up with proxy error problems , they will just move on. I am contemplating alternatives. I do post on other platforms and suggest all eggs in one basket is a bad move
You are absolutely right, Claude. I appreciate how you put it. We've all either put a lot into our AR blog, or we're planning to this year. This proxy-error problem will not be tolerated by our readers.
Justin- I thought that it was my computer! I had no idea that everyone else is experiencing the same proxy errors. I eventually get fed up and log off, so I can only imagine the average consumers annoyance!
