I'm often asked by agents if they should give advice to sellers about how to stage their homes. They aren't interested in becoming home stagers themselves, but recognize the importance of staging. Many sellers can't afford to pay a home stager, but they are willing to do some or all of the actual work themselves to save money - they just need some advice. So agents are looking for some basic training in this area to give them confidence.
Heretofore agents had to attend a pricey seminar or class to learn how to advise their clients. Well, that can be expensive and time consuming. But now they can get the training from a handy guide. It doesn't replace the services of professional stagers but does give enough guidance to inspire agents to talk about staging and give informative, authoritative advice with confidence.
A new book on the subject gives more extensive information on this subject at A Real Estate Agent's Guide to Offering Free Home Staging Consultations. Ā
