I really would hate to leave ActiveRain, but............

I'm an extremely patient person.

But even I'm at the point where I'm starting to get a little annoyed with the amount of sluggishness and proxy errors on Active Rain.

I would think that my $30 per month would be, as a collaborative effort for all paying patrons, enough to fund a proper technical support effort so that this does not happen.

Has anybody received any inside information as to what the problem is here, why it's been this way for so long and what we're presently doing about it?

Yes, this was very frustrating today.  At first, I thought it was because of the large amount of rain from this weekend's thunderstorms, but then I saw that it was more widespread than the areas that were hit by rain.   I surely hope it will be rectified tomorrow.   I still think this system is very helpful.

Hang in there my friend.

Hi Ralph. I've noticed that it's been a recurring problem for some time. I checked Bob's AR blog and so far he hasn't addressed it but I am sure they are aware of it.

Hi Ralph, It is very frustrating to get those messages.  I don't know if it is relevant or just a coincidence, but since I started using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer a few months ago, I have had no proxy errors.  I used to get them frequently.

One of my agents is going to Activerain headquarters next week and I'll send him up with that question, maybe he can get the answers right from the source while he is there.

Okay Ralph - The gremlins have gotten to me.  I no sooer wrote the above comment than I got hit with the proxy error.  Some sort of joke I guess.  Dont send me the message until I say I haven't gotten it, then hit me good!  Almost funny!

Anyway,

To the powers that be.

Not trying to be combative here, I just want to know that this problem will be fixed soon.

Hi Ralph... it may be a bit frustrating right now, but I know that they are working on it.  Even with the frustration, I still think the benefits outweigh it.  Besides... we'd all miss you if you left!  :(

Ralph, I recently wrote a post about this very topic as many others have.  It does seem to be getting worse.  I had asked Brad Andershon if there was anything we could do to help lessen the problem and he pretty much said that it was on the AR side.  Others have mentioned Firefox or Google Chrome...I don't know about Firefox, but Google Chrome has been a problem for me on my MLS and hasn't eliminated the Proxy Errors here either.

Hello Ralph and I have been feeling your pain for quite some time and I am not sure what is going on around here. I know they have been working very hard at fixing the problems and the hard cores will hang around like me and some others. I hope you hang in there!

Ron,

I disagree with your political views very strongly.

But the bottom line is we all put our pants on one leg at a time, and when it gets right down to it, your an American citizen, and I will always have your back..........
