Broomfield has many great options for the downsizing baby boomers.
The development of which I would like to speak today is called Gate N Green. It is for the 55 and over age group. It was built in several phases between the early 1970's and late 1980's. The homes there are all ranches with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and 2 car garages.
It's centrally located in Broomfield and very near the local golfcourse. On the grounds there is an indoor pool to swim in year round, a nice clubhouse to use when the family comes to visit and near open space to go for a nice leisurely walk.
Most of the homes sell in the range of $210,000 to $250,000 range. There is an HOA fee of $130/month to cover the nice above amenities. The HOA is privately ran by volunteers that reside in the development, and in a recent conversation with the President of the HOA, I was assured that the Gate N Green HOA in Broomfield is very solvent and has lots of money in the bank. Very nice to know in this day and age where many HOA's are in deep trouble financially.
Gate N Green has been around for a while, but most homes are well kept and in good condition. A very good option if you want to live in a nice secure area nearby other homeowners that will share alot of the same interests that you have.
