Quote of the Week:You've got a lot of choices.  If getting out of bed in the morning is a chore Wilmington NC Leprechaunand you're not smiling on a regular basis, try another choice.  ~Steven D. Woodhull

Local Market Statistics

There are currently 5005 single-family homes for sale in New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick Counties.  In the last 6 months (9/5/09-3/7/10), 1875 homes have sold.  These numbers indicate that if NO other homes are listed for sale that there is approximately 16 months worth of inventory.

During the last week (3/1/10-3/7/10):

  • 242 Homes were listed FOR SALE
  • 81 Homes went UNDER CONTRACT
  • 58 Homes SOLD
  • 102 Homes FAILED to SELL (Withdrawn or Expired)

The increase in inventory is partly due to homeowners that were planning on selling and decided to wait until the Spring Market to list their homes.   We should begin to see an increase in homes under contract and sold as the Home Buyer Tax Credit reaches it's expiration.

Please note all of these statistics are based on single-family residential homes for sale in New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick Counties.
