As a native New Yorker they have a parade for everything. I left when i was younger but NY was always the place to be.

Thank you for the Paddy's greetings. One of the greatest Irish festivals, St. Patrick's Day or Paddy's Day commemorates the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, family and friends

Ahhh, kilts.  They are the best!  It certainly looks like a longer parade than our small town celebration. We had three men in kilts though!  Not too shabby for a very Swiss-German town of 10K.  :)

Mitchell, I miss these parades!  I sorta remember Fifth Avenue knee deep in beer cans!

Thanks for the comments. I hope everyone enjoyed the day.

The beer cans are no longer allowed. Former Mayor Guliani outlawed beer during parades.
