How professional are YOU?

By
Mortgage and Lending with Roxy Redenbaugh (Acceptance Capital Mortgage Corporation)

I wanted to ask why some people think it's ok to talk trash about someone else or ones profession. I've noticed not so much on AR which I love but some other unnamed sites it's Real Estate Agents against Loan Officers or visa versa and I am sorry I just don't get it. We need each other... we work together... some of my favorite people are Real Estate agents but yet I see bashing going on between the two professions. The Blame game at it's worst. I just want to say, and I know I probably sound like your mom, but hey STOP IT... If you don't have something positive to say... don't say it.

I've been a licensed REA and Mortgage Broker for 14 years. I've trained many REA and LO how to be successful and meet all their goals working together and sharing in the successes of each other. It's really disheartening to hear such unprofessional behavior . Just please remember when you talk poorly of someone else no matter who they are or what they do for a living, you make yourself look unprofessional. Instead of drawing people to you, you will be pushing them away.

If you have anything to add to this subject or have an experience you would like to tell please do...

Roxy...not the recipient of trash talk  in Real Estate [plenty in Education], but it seems to be the main dish on many folks' diet these days. Along with blaming anyone but themselves;  being generally irresponsible in speech; careless of the profession they represent. Just take a look at DC & probably most State legislature groups--perhaps we are taking a cue from 'politics will be politic'
Neither an excuse for nor an acceptance of churlish behavior; guess that all of us can use a "Mom-touch" now & then.  Good points, stand steady.

Hi Roxy,

I totally agree. We've been seeing this more often. I think it just might be that the market and the need for $$ can make desperate people say anything to make a buck. I'm not a basher....maybe just a diffuser. You can disagree with a position without being a basher. One of my favorite sayings lately is "don't be a hater"  :)

Best Regards, Jay

In my opinion, securing a real estate license is relative easy compared to other licensed professionals.  With that comes the representation of the real world.
