Website Statistics -- What's Hot and What's Not?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Luxury Fractional Guide

Okay...we've had our website professionally optimized.  We have our Google Analytics account and we monitor it faithfully.  We have everything hooked up to our database so we know exactly how many "click-throughs" (people who actually click on a link to get more information about a particular property) we have for all of our properties.

What's the problem?  How in heaven's name do I know if my stats are good or not?  I don't want to be like the car salesman who was patting himself on the back for averaging five car sales a day until he found out his competitor was selling 50!  Sheesh!

Is there a global Benchmark of Bounce Rates?  Are my Pageviews on Par?  Is my "Time on Site" Average Adequate?  Are my % New Visits the Norm?

I've read too much about competitors squabbling on here so I'll only reveal my Site Stats in private.  But if there is a Sultan of Stats out there, I want to hear from you!

Cheers!

Hi Lisa,

Wow is all I can say....I don't know half the terms :) let alone if they are working.

I really don't know what half of them mean either, and that's probably half of the problem!

Lisa, did you ever get a more quantitative response?  I am searching for the same thing, and it would be nice to have something to benchmark by.  I use Google analytics for my stats.
