Low inventory? Spread the word and get some listings. This thought dawned on me while reading and commenting on a post by Sandra Paulow, Buyers are Back & Inventory is Dropping!.
Why not use this information to garner some new listings? If a home owner had thoughts of selling but was on the fence this news might help them make up their mind. Having heard so much about the state of the real estate market they may be reluctant to take the leap. Why not a gentle nudge to encourage them to think positive.
Now is the time to let your market know what is happening in your local area. Remember we often hear that all politics is local. Well, that is certainly true for real estate.
Use all the means at your disposal to let your property owners know the true state of your real estate local market.

Send an article to a small local newspaper if you have one in your area

Place a small ad (not classified) in the newspaper

Tell your sphere of influence and ask them to spread the word

Send letters to your farm area
Think about it, you are spreading good news. Yes, it is good news even to those we are not planning to sell now. After all the doom and gloom they will be happy to hear that the local real estate market might be changing.
Be the bearer of good news and you may be the REALTOR® they remember if they ever do find themselves in the position to sell.
