Short Sales Make Me SAD

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Crown Key Realty, Inc; Tracy & Mountain House Sales and Property Management 01490605

I chose this profession, perhaps it chose me, either way Short Sale make me sad.sad face

I'm sad that I can't help every seller that truly has a hardship

I'm sad that some sellers lie, and take advantage of the current economy.

I'm sad that my buyers wait and wait and then the bank denies the short sale.

I'm sad that the banks take for ever to get us an answer.

I'm sad that a great offer is denied by the bank.

I'm sad that it will cost the bank more to foreclose than do a short sale, yet they choose this route.

I'm sad that I can't give definitve answers as to how long the process will take, if their short sale will be approved, etc.

I'm sad that the lien holders cut our commission, when short sales are more work that any other kind of sale.

I'm sad that I can't help everyone.

I'm sad that there are companies and people who are taking advantage of troubled home owners.

I'm sad that people are losing their homes.

Even though a short sale makes me sad - it is better for everyone than a foreclosure.

Despite all this "sadness" I'm here to help --- do you need help with a short sale?  Call me, let's discuss your options.

I'm forever the optimist! I know there are solutions that are available let's find them.

Hello Susan, I was SAD to see that you're SAD. It IS best when sellers leave out he emotion and resolve that this is the first step in moving forward with their lives.

I'm sad that banks want to reduce the commissions on the sale in order to accept it . . . they don't get it.  It's NOT just that property, it's the 40 OTHER HOUSES I toured with the buyer, the two other offers I wrote up for him, the countless hours of looking at listings, etc.  Yeah, I would like to get paid for the work I've done, and brought the buyer to your property.  Thank you very much!  AGHHH!

The hardest cases we put together often don't pay very well. I find that as long as I am fair in my other dealings, things work out.

Vicky, it's all part of the process.  I'm always Happy - just sad at the situation.

Christina - you're right - focus on all the ones that we get closed

John - we do suffer, usually more than our clients know.

Carla  -- you are absolutely right, it's not just us as listing agents it the selling agents also

Ingrid - you're right the hardest cases are ones where we usually end up giving up the most.

Lots of sadness here on this post and all around in the short sale world.  But seeing that big, outrageous orange/red unsmilely face on your post brought a big smile to me.
