Yes, in any large group we get those we can make fun of.
However, when you try to cover 30,000 additional people and say you are going to save money, it does not sound credible. The reason they fear that there will be rationing has to do with the inability to train enough physicians to cover the need. 1/3 of the doctors have said that they would stop practicing if this bill goes through because it cuts their pay. Cutting the amount the doctor get paid is un-American, soon there may be a bill to limit the amount you can earn.
Yes, these people do not sound like they are aware of the facts. However, what do you know?
Why don't we fix what is wrong with health care instead of designing a new system? Why place this burden on small businesses? Why do we fine those who don't have health care in this bill? Why is it that Nancy states we have to pass the bill to know what is in it? Why does it have to be done so quickly? Why can't we have a longer period to read what they put out and digest the facts? Why do we need an army of new IRS agents to enforce this new bill? (That is the enforcement arm its in the bill) Why don't we get tort reform?
As you can see there are a lot of questions that are not known because know one can read this bill in the time they give and make since of it.
Why would we make insurance companies cover people no matter how sick they are when they get insurance and have no limits to the policy? Some say compassion. Ok, but a company cannot survive if we also tell them how much they can charge for the insurance as well (affordability). If we allow the insurance companies to charge what it costs them with no profit the cost will be too high too survive. It has been too high for the countries that have had universal health care.
The insurance companies have been the ones who we have deamonised. They have refused claims. Do you know that the government programs like medicare et al turn down claims 4 to 1 over insurance companies.
These people may not have all the facts but they are not stupid. They are just believing the information source that is different than yours.
