So, just when you think you've seen everything you come across a home with a shower stall in the hallway on the main level! This was not part of a bathroom on that level either - it was all by itself squeezed under the stairs next to the furnace with an accordian door and plastic shower curtain - a 3' by 3' shower stall!
This is a hilarious post and I hope it takes off! I'll have to check out your Part 1 in a minute.
Keith's FIRST house that he put a contract on (but later decided not to go through with it thank goodness), was where the kitchen was put in the basement. It wasn't an in-law kitchen...it was the kitchen for the entire house. We've seen this layout in townhomes that have walk out egress to the basement level, but this was a single family detached house. The problem was, the basement ceiling height was literally and truly only FIVE FEET in height!!!
Don't know if that tops your solo shower stall though. We just saw a house with a full bath on the mail level and they squeezed a shower in there by having a micro small sink that was practically in the shower. They definitely would have done better to just have a normal half bath with a regular size sink. Who wants to shower off the dining room anyway?
I'm sure I have more, but I'm wanting to go check out your Part 1! LOL!
Shannon - I've seen the kitchen in the basement a few times too. . .but a 5 Foot ceiling?! I can just imagine them all bent over trying to cook and wash the dishes!
Deborah - The listing agent said it was convenient for pets. . .perhaps a small dog, and then the hallway would be a huge mess!
Lottie - Me too. . .lots of funny images of towel-wrapped houseguests dashing up the stairs dripping wet, LOL!
Ralph - 'ya gotta give them credit for trying!
This is obviously a shower for the "little people" who live under the stairs!
