Where was I? Guess the location

I took a trip last year and the photos below are from the same location. Who can guess where this is? It may be very easy for some of you. Just knowing the state is not good enough. I am looking for LOCALISM!  This trip was right before 4th of July weekend last summer. The family had a great time. I have about 250 pictures from this vacation and for some reason I have not posted any yet. These are the first ones.

Hi Eric - Pic #3 looks like a flowering barrel cactus (could be a red barrel or candy barrel) so that places you somewhere in the sourthwest. The mountains don't look familiar to me, so I'll say somewhere around Phoenix or Tucson.

John, thanks for the reply on the cactus. I was wondering what that was. I do not want to give my final answer on the location until a few more have guessed. Stay tuned

I would have to guess: PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA ? With all of the rain that SoCal has been getting, the grass is greener than green and the flora is probably fantastic right about now! Former San Diego boy here!

Well it looks like one of the resorts in Scottsdale. Possibly the Camelback Inn? It looks like back side of Camelback mountain. The flower is from a cacti but I am not sure which one.

Kim, you are 100% correct ! Yes the pics were taken at the Marriott Camelback Inn (Paradise Valley AZ)and that second photo is on the residential road right next to it that is facing the back side of the mountain.
