As spring blossoms in Marin the activity increases and so do the prices of the homes. People are
optimistic, as the weather turns better so does our economy locally.
We have had an increase in homes sold from January to February but the important figure is the
53% rise in homes sold compared to last year at this time. Consequently our median price is up
8.5%. I would expect home prices to continue to tick upward as the year goes along. Who knows
when interest rates will rise but that's a sure bet they will. Last but not least is the expiration of the
tax credit in April. That's free money for homebuyers.
So, with home prices on the rise, interest rates as low as they are going to get and the last chance at the
tax credit there's only one question for prospective home buyers. "Why Wait?"
