President Obama signed into law the most all encompassing, mammoth health care program in our nations history.
- This is so good for our country. It's good for everyone. Finally affordable health care for all. This is what America has clamored for, we have been told.
It solves the ills of our health care delivery system for decades to come. It will reduce the deficit by billions in the first 10 years and over 1 trillion in the next 10 years.
Much back slapping and jubilation was shared when it passed and at the signing. Many in this country rejoiced under the misguided belief this bill was the best of the best.
- Prior to the vote, when asked about the bills contents, Nancy Pelosi quipped we would just have to pass the bill to find out what is in it.
Over the next few weeks more of the details will be released which were kept quiet by lawmakers before the vote.
We know that the President and all members of Congress and the Senate are exempt from having to purchase insurance from government pools, or any other mandates contained in the bill.
- Now it has been revealed that another select "better than you and me" group exempted themselves. On page 158 of the legislation top ranking staffers; those who worked on writing this health care legislation have exempted themselves.(Source)
So your law makers and their worker bees are better than you? Must be, because they will not be caught dead, controlled by the same "plan" they designed for the common man.
- Senator Grassley tried to get this special treatment loophole removed from the bill. He was rebuffed by Pelosi.
Grassley said, “It’s only fair and logical that top administration officials, who fought so hard for passage of this overhaul of America’s health care system, experience it themselves. If it’s as good as promised, they’ll know it first-hand. If there are problems, they’ll be able to really understand them, as they should. (Source)
Is this their definition of Social Justice? No wonder all those in Washington were ecstatic. They forced this bill down the throats of Americans and exempted hundreds more on the hill.
Some how this looks more like a "class system" than equality for all.
