We have been contacted by several people about how we do videos.  Here is our story:

We started with the Flip Video in 2008.  It was fairly easy to video but the quality wasn't

quite what we wanted.  We found an editing sight online,  we use One True Media.com,

and post all of our videos to our website, our MLS and to Youtube.  We have not done

any videos with me in front of the camera.  it seems easier and faster for me to

narrate the video behind the camera as I go through the home.

We bought a Panasonic DMC-ZS1  because it has a wide angle lens 25MM and we can

do stills and video that are high quality from the same unit.. A 2Gig Sd card comes with

the camera and is large enough to handle both the video and stills for any home.

We hope this information helps if you are getting started with video marketing.

One tip we have found that works for us.  I walk through the home with the camera

off  first to practice what I want to say.  Then I go through and do the final version.

I find I have fewer errors and usually can do it in one take so we have very little

post-editing.

We also keep the video short, less than 5-6 minutes, even on a large home.  We

feel that the overall flow of the home is what the video shows well.  Still photos are

better to emphasize the home details.

Two examples of our home videos,  the first is a large home with over 5000 sq ft, the second

example is a smaller home with a little over 2000 sq ft.

Very nice videos and thanks for sharing. I agree, the wide angle lens is a must and steady hands if you don't use a stabilizer bar or tripod.
