PRESS RELEASE!  THE NEW HTC EVO 4G WITH SPRINT IS HERE!

New Sprint HTC EVO 4G

It's Here Professionals!  The time has come.

Sprint announced a few days ago that this summer it will be releasing what some would consider it’s first powerhouse contender with the iPhone, the HTC EVO 4G. That’s right people, this is the first phone with new WiMax technology that will boast screaming internet broadband speeds that will rival DSL and Cable. Imagine being able to watch streaming HD movies from a 4.3 inch screen? And that’s not all. This phone is one of the first to have a HDMI out so you can project that streaming video in crystal clear 720p HD picture to your LCD TV at home. That is just the tip of the ice berg on what this bad boy can do.

In addition to the impressive video features, this phone has built in wi-fi hotspot capability, turning it into a instant internet gateway for up to 8 Wi-Fi devices at a time.

In a business meeting and want to have internet for your clients to browse on their laptops? No problem, my new Sprint HTC EVO 4G has a solution for that. Built in voice-to-text messaging will give the user the ability to compose texts simply by speaking. All of these cool tools are based around the new Android 2.1 operating system, the same OS that the HTC Hero through sprint runs on, but of course on steroids. It’s called HTC Sense, a variation of the Android 2.1 OS that was released sometime last year.

Not only does this phone bring in impressive internet, and video capability, but it is equipped with not one but TWO cameras, a 8.0 MP flash camera on the back and a 1.3 MP forward facing camera for video conferencing and messaging. This phone is based largely on the new Clearwire Clear WiMax network, which Sprint is a majority owner in, and with this gives Sprint a clear edge in mobile internet technology and distribution. Sprint may lease rights to the Verizon network, but soon all carriers are going to want a piece of Sprint’s internet mobility.

If you are a Real Estate professional, this phone is going to be a new weapon in your arsenal of toys that will help make your professional life more efficient, and enjoyable!

I got one yesterday for our son's birthday.  My contract is not up until December so I figured he could learn evrything and then teach it to me.  He was over for dinner last night and it is WAY COOL!!  He even got an app and you can point it to the night sky and tell what you are looking at.  It is like having a computer in your pocket!!  Now if I can just wait until December; we will see!

If you didn't get one yesterday you will probably have to wait until more come in.  They were sold out by noon here.

Thanks Marchel  are you a 4g market?  I don't want to pay Sprint $10 extra for 4G in a market that is NOT 4G so I was thinking of getting a Samsung Moment.  Also the extra keyboard on the Moment appeals to me.  I am over my two year commitment, my Centro is on it's last legs and so I really need to do something.  I am afraid I will get a 3G phone and regret it when our market gets 4G coverage.  I want a Android though I thought about the Pallm Pre but am glad I changed my mind.

The apps are exciting to me.

I think it depends on where you are.  Our son was just getting 3G at our house last night but when he plugs in to his Internet at home he definitelyhas 4G.  I have the Centro also and I don't like that little screen one little bit.  I loved this big screen.  Shoot he even pulled up his Calculus II text book on it.  The writing was little but I could still read it.  Now I would not have been able to do any of the calculations (LOL).

Goodness I have not seen one yet... maybe I do really  want one... being able to read the screen would be nice.   Mike Jaquish got one... I inquired if it is "Wonderful."  He wanted the phone because it is bigger, fat fingers? .
