Local Market Statistics
There are currently 5067 single-family homes for sale in New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick Counties. In the last 6 months (9/19/09-3/22/10), 1888 homes have sold. These numbers indicate that if NO other homes are listed for sale that there is approximately 16 months worth of inventory.
During the last week (3/15/10-3/22/10):
- 245 Homes were listed FOR SALE
- 143 Homes went UNDER CONTRACT
- 76 Homes SOLD
- 127 Homes FAILED to SELL (Withdrawn or Expired)
Spring has arrived, we are beginning to see more people out and about at open houses, driving around neighborhoods and calling about homes for sale. The Home Buyer Tax Credit is ending in just a few weeks and buyers are working hard to find the right house to take advantage of the huge tax breaks. There is still a large amount of inventory available however if your home is priced right and shows well...get ready for some activity.
