I never realized how much we trick ourselves into thinking that we are working as real estate agents. We spend so much time in class, whether it is a sales class, working on our Alphabet Soup (GRIABRCRSCRBEPROSRES), or seminars and we call that work. There is a huge difference between Education and Application. I will never put down education, I think it is the foundation of success....if you apply it, and the truth is if 10 people are in a class, ONLY 1 will actually make an attempt to apply the knowledge in an income producing sense. My point is how much money do you make sitting in that class as a non-salary, full commission Real Estate Agent??? NOTHING, NOT A DIME!!!! Once you apply the concepts you just learned then you become effective.
I have heard in my market center that I'm burnt out on classes and I need to build my business by applying this knowledge. Fantastic I love to hear that.... This has prompted a shift in my thinking about what Real Estate Ed. is and how to teach an effective class.
AUGUST IS NOW DUBBED "AUGUST IN ACTION", and a new Teaching LAW is in effect.
