One of the most recognized and visited centers in the U.S. is the Will Rogers Memorial Center which is an 85-acre public entertainment, sports and livestock complex located in Fort Worth, Texas. WRMC is named for American humorist and writer Will Rogers and is the home of the annual Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. It is a popular location for the hosting of specialized livestock shows, including the annual World Exposition of the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America, the annual World Championship Paint Horse Show, and 3 major events of the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) each year. Events at the WRMC attract over 2 million visitors annually that attend or participate in everything from Gun Shows to Horses Shows.
The Memorial Center was built in 1936 and designed by architect Wyatt C. Hedrick, who employed the modern (Art Deco) style. I addition to the WRMC there is the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History which was just finished a few moths ago.
This area has so much to offer and to the locals it is called the "Cultural District". This area also has the Amon Carter and the Modern Art museum and my favorite attraction the Botanical Gardens. Fort Worth really has so very much to offer there is always something to do and enjoy. What a great place to live!
So if you are ever in Fort Worth plan to visit the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum.
