Flying Star Cafe Albuquerque Fun, Funky, and Friendly describes my favorite place to hang out. Flying Star Café in Albuquerque is a great place to have a meal and chat with friends. Or just grab one of their delicious cookies and enjoy their magazine bar. They have tons of great magazines to read at your leisure. Want to surf the web? They have free wi-fi and a computer bar where you can plug in if you need juice for your laptop. With a great menu selection and great service, you are sure to find something you like. I personally like the fish and chips--just make sure to save room for one of their great desserts.

Flying Star Cafe Albuquerque The first location opened in 1987 in Historic Nob Hill and has grown to six locations with a new one scheduled to open later this year. Flying Star Café is a great supporter of the community. One of their recent endeavors was raising money for The Storehouse, which provides food and clothing to individuals in poverty.

Flying Star Cafe Albuquerque This Saturday (07.28.07) the "Adobe Brothers" will be playing at the Juan Tabo location for a night of Bluegrass and Mudpies. Check out Flying Star Café's event page for more events such as this one.

Susie - what are you doing up so late? I thought I was the night owl. ABQ has some great local restaurants but this is my favorite for just hanging out.

Teri - The kids love it! There is so much to look at and they can browse the magazines. I have taken my three kids and one of the nephews and they had a blast. We went there every Saturday for a month during our own Nanowrimo.

Rey - You must go to Flying Star Cafe! It's not a steakhouse but I think you will enjoy it. Let me know when you are in town and we and the spouses can meet up. How does desert at Flying Star sound? I haven't been to the Frontier in ages. My husband use to play chess there but it has been at least 5 years. It is still a big hit with the UNM crowd.

Ashley, I think that would be excellent to meet when my wife and I are there. We are going to be there for a wedding so we may just have time for a drink. We will be there October 25-29th. We are staying at the Sheraton in the middle of town.

Rey - sounds good! I'm not to far from the Sheraton myself. We can work out a time closer to when you are here. If you have time check out the new ABQ Uptown mall which is less than a mile from the hotel. It has a Scottsdale flair. That would be my favorite spot to hang out in the evening when I want an outdoor space. They have a cool fountain my daughter loves to run in. Harendog and now I have cometure. These new words are boggling my typing skills! I could read apple and then type it I didn't have to look at it as I go.
