The Villages at Baxter Ridge is a Chesterfield, Missouri subdivision gem - one of our favorites! Built during a 2 year period from 1984 to 1986, the Villages at Baxter Ridge was a collaborative effort of 4 different builders - Jones, Lieberman, Mason and Raleigh-Givens. A unique plan at the time, the subdivision consists of 300 single family homes and a section with 135 condominiums. Each of 4 "villages" is named after a season. The Villages at Baxter Ridge is known as Baxter Ridge to the residents and locals alike.
Part of Baxter Ridge's popularity has to do with the community amenities available. There is a community clubhouse that can be rented by residents for a reasonable fee for parties and subdivision events. Located adjacent to the clubhouse is a swimming pool with a large deck area. The pool is the hub for neighborhood activities as children gather to swim in swim meets or take swim lessons and adults socialize at poolside. Many impromptu happy hour events occur on summer Friday evenings. Located across the clubhouse parking lot are 2 regulation sized tennis courts. Play is available on a first come, first serve basis and is limited to residents and their guests. The subdivision amenities are available for residents of both the single family homes and the condominiums.
The condominium section of Baxter Ridge offers a variety of floorplans from ranch or garden units, to townhomes and 1.5 story units. The unit sizes vary greatly from 1500 square feet to over 2500 square feet. Some of the most popular units are those that are ranch condos with a courtyard and an attached garage. When one of these comes on the market, they usually sell quite quickly.
We know Baxter Ridge quite well as we were residents of Baxter Ridge for over 15 years. Additionally, I served on the Board of Trustees for 5 years. It was a great way to get to know some of my neighbors I probably wouldn't have met otherwise.
