I need your advice

Hello Fellow Realtors,

The time has come for me to turn in my leased vehicle and I am wondering what you are driving these days and if it suites you?  I currently drive a Mercedes E350.  A nice car, handles well, but a bit small when driving more than two people to properties.  I chose this vehicle for a few reasons, the main reason being comfort, however I have to admit that it does impress my customers to see me in a Mercedes.  It says to them that I am successful and that I can afford to drive a luxury car. Now that the lease is coming to an end I am wondering if it would be more prudent of me to lease a hybrid or even a larger vehicle, such as a Lexus SUV.

Just wondering.  Any thoughts?

Look at the MD R series with the CDI motor.

also, Cadilac SRX, was in one the other day, nice, and you can get a good deal on them.

The hybrids are great when you look at the milage but when you look at how many miles you have to drive to break even on the higher cost for the car, it really is not worth it.

I drive the same Mercedes you have.  You can look at the new R class, great and roomy, sits 8 people. Katerina

Patricia, I drive the SUV. It has all the space I need to drive more than two clients around, while carrying the extras in the back. My wife didn't like it at first, but she's grown to like it more than her own car and now we have to wrestle over the keys sometimes. It's definitely not a "green" car though.

I love my Volvo S80 and so do my customers.  I am not a SUV person so I searched for a luxury car that gave me plenty of room and a comfortable ride for my passengers.

I use to lease now I own.  Got tired of having to watch so I did not go over the allocated lease miles, even though I negotiated extra miles upfront.  My accountant was fine with the purchasing choice.

Just got a BMW SUV and I love it.  Had a Mercedes SUV and there are things about the BMW that I like a lot better, drives better for one.  The new Acura SUV also just got a great review.  Lots of choices, go check out and do a few test drives you will see which ones you like and which you don't that way.  I test drove a couple of possible cars and didn't like the drive and wasn't comfortable.

I used to drive the SUV ( for about 8 years ) then I bought my Volvo. I have 2 SUV's now that sit in my driveway and have not been driven for 2 years.

I have the Toyota 4 Runner.  Why pay the extra for the Lexus name, when you can still have the style and name with a Toyota.  My clients are impressed with Toyota, and they're also now the largest manufacture in the world, passed GM and Ford!  I looked for a car that I could see above other traffic in, but it also needed to fit my signs.  I don't see a sedan fitting my signs in the back comfortably.  I'm on my second 4Runner, and about to get my third.  My husband is also on his second 4Runner.  He wanted me to get the Highlander Hybrid, but as was mentioned above, the gas being saved doesn't really offset the extra cost of the vehicle.
