Falgarwood is a mature subdivision also known as Iroquois Ridge South. Its' popularity stems from the fact that it is a mature neighbourhood with leafy treed crescents and cul de sacs, schools, parks, shops, ravines and trails.
Easy highway access make this a great spot to live if you commute to Toronto. The GO train station is a short bus ride away. Upper Oakville Shopping Centre serves the area and the larger Oakville Place Mall is just minutes away.
The types of homes in Falgarwood are a mix between detached, semi-detached, links, freehold townhomes, condo townhomes and condo apartments. Detached home styles consist of two storey, bungalows and split-levels. The majority of homes offer 3 or 4 bedrooms and many have ensuite bathrooms. Most detached homes were built with garages or carports.
Most homes in Falgarwood were built in the 1970's and 1980's. Many of the properties back on to ravines and forested areas. Local area parks serve double duty with soccer fields and baseball diamonds. Because Falgarwood is such a popular area, the turnover is low.
Many Falgarwood residents have lived in the same home for 20 to 30 years having raised their families there. As those residents are ready to downsize and move on, many young families are moving in. One of the large draws is the ability for children to walk to school and not have to take a bus.
