The Light Rail Chamber of Commerce is a new and unique business organization just opened its doors in the Phoenix-Tempe-Mesa Metro area. Bryan Watkins is the new President of the new non-profit, and stated "we are a powerful new voice in the light rail corridor, and hope to work with all interested business, government and other interested individuals." The first local Chapter has already gathered over 700 followers on Twitter, many from interested chambers in other parts of the U.S.

The objective of the Light Rail Chamber is to promote the business interests of the corridor. This area can be a tremendous driver to economic development. The light rail tracks run through the Arizona State campus as well as Phoenix Downtown and Uptown. Every type and size of business is part of the corridor.

The Light Rail Chamber hopes to add value as the economy improves and real estate development gathers steam.
