This first day of Spring always starts me thinking about events and entertainment for the summer months. One of our family traditions every year has been the Lynden, Washington Fair. This year should be extra special, the Lynden Fair is celebrating its 100 year Anniversary this year in 2010.
The Lynden Fair is an all week event here in Whatcom County, Washington, and has entertainment for the entire family. Carnival rides are a big attraction for the younger crowd. Great performances by well known bands from the past and present time eras. My husband and I attended the Foreigner Concert last year, and were not disappointed. They put on an Awesome show. There is so much to do, with the Rodeo, many animal exhibits and shows, the Demolition Derby, and lots of craft and shopping booths. There is something for everyone.
The Lynden, Washington Fair is scheduled this year for August 16th through August 21st. The bands have yet to be announced for this year, but you can buy tickets early, if you visit this website and register to be notified of events, and purchase tickets in advanced.
Oh, I forgot to mention all of the wonderful food stands where many non profit organizations are raising money for wonderful causes in Whatcom County.
