The Royal Oaks Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72, links style layout measuring 7,103 yards in length from the championship tees. The initial plan included an area set aside for a on site hotel, but to date no one has come forward to build one.
A recently constructed million dollar clubhouse, restaurant, lounge and event / entertainment facility now serves the residential community surrounding the golf course as well as the greater Moncton area.
All housing in the Royal Oaks residential neighbourhood is less than ten years old and the housing types consist of single family detached housing, row townhouses and condominium apartments. Single detached housing pricing runs from $350,000 to almost one million dollars. Condominium apartment pricing runs from $150,000 to almost $300,000. Building lots are also available, priced from $70,000 to $130,000.
Although the golf course itself has faced some financial difficulties, the public streets are not affected, existing housing is still selling and new housing continues to be built in the Royal Oaks residential golf community neighbourhood.
