Homes and Real Estate in the East Moutains Areas: In the Mountains, Still Close to Albuquerque

Homes and real estate in the East Mountains Areas of Albuquerque, NM offer many diverse options.  With quick access to I-40 , you can enjoy the peace and quiet of living in the mountains while still enjoing a relatively short commute to the Albuquerque metro area (depending on road conditions - snow and icy roads can slow down that commute!)  Living in the East Mountains offers amazing views, being surrounding by an abundance of trees like Pinons, Junipers, Ponderosa Pines, and Aspen,  wildlife, close access to campgrounds and skiing opportunities, cooler weather (about 10 degrees colder than Albuquerque), a sense of wide open space, larger parcels of land and horse property opportunities.  With elevations ranging  from 6,500 - 11,000 feet, you can expect more snow and rain than experienced by the Albuquerque Metro Area.

Some of the various communities situated in the East Mountains includes Tijeras, Carnuel, Cedar Crest, and Sandia Park.  Housing opportunities are diverse, ranging from luxury custom Southwestern style homes, to Ranch and Cabin style, to more affordable mobile and manufactured homes.  Some of the more well known planned communities/ subdivisions are Paa-Ko (luxury homes located along the well-known Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Course), San Pedro Creek Estates, Nature Pointe, and The Overlook.

Continuing East along I-40 are the communities of Edgewood, Moriarty, and Estancia.  With a commute of about 20-30 minutes from Albuquerque, these towns tend to offer more afforable real estate than can be found in Albuquerque and the East Mountain communities.  The landscape here tends to be open high plains as compared to the more mountainous environment in the East Mountains.

Areas of interest and recreational opportunities offered in the East Mountains and Cibola National Forest - beside the amazing landscape- include wonderful campgrounds, hiking and mountain biking trails, Tinkertown Museum, golf courses, horseback riding, snow shoeing, star gazing, bird watching, and of course the Sandia Peak Ski area.

So if experiencing a rural, ranch, or mountain lifestyle is what you are after, but would still like a short commute to the Albuquerque Metro Area, consider the East Mountains.  Here you can wake up to the songs of beautiful birds singing, surrounded by trees and other wildlife, while still knowing the ammenities only a bigger city can offer are just a short drive away.  To learn more about home and real estate in the East Moutains visit Earth Origins;s Realty's website at  http://www.albuquerquerealestateandhomes.com.

Great Post although just as some added advice - I get more google juice from my post if the first line from my title reads exactly the same as the first line of my content. Just thought I would share!
