More Fun From REtech South!
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to attend REtech South in Atlanta on Thursday and Friday and had a great time.......but I stayed so busy in classes and attending social events that I didn't have much time to spend on ActiveRain reading blogs, much less doing any writing of my own.
My plan was to spend time over the weekend reviewing my notes, begin implementing some of the things I learned (more on that later), and writing posts about the event and a couple of community posts for the challenge.
Within a few hours after returning home from Atlanta Friday evening, my dad became seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital. I spent that night at the hospital, the next day, and felt good enough about his condition to go home about 10:30 Saturday evening. He is being well cared for, but we are still trying to determine what is causing his illness. He is still very sick and has a long way to go. Please keep us all in your prayers as a host of doctors try to unravel the mystery of what is making my dad so sick.
In the meantime, I am hanging out at the hospital, keeping my mom company. Today I brought my laptop so I could download photos from REtech South and catch up on emails, Facebook and ActiveRain. It has been a learning experience for my mom and she is amazed at all the technology. She has enjoyed seeing pictures of my AR buddies (and some of their children and pets)! I've seen a lot of photos from RETSO posted already, and here are a few more.......
