San Gabriel Heights Georgetown TexasSan Gabriel Heights is one of Georgetown's best established neighborhoods.  In the late 1970's and early 1980's when San Gabriel Heights  was developed  Georgetown Texas was experiencing rapid growth mainly from Austin's high tech growth industries.  IBM was undergoing a major expansion in North Austin.   Round Rock and Georgetown were the beneficiaries.  Families desiring great schools, small town living and an easy commute to Austin were discovering that Georgetown neighborhoods such as San Gabriel Heights were offering larger lots with trees, well built spacious homes and much more value than they could find in Austin.

Great hyper local post MIke.  This sounds like a real nice neigborhood.  I just posted one that sounds like a similiar area with lots of outdoor amenities too.  Are you enjoying the contest?
