Why so suprised.

Real Estate Agent with Palmer House Properties 292385


Customer service is number one in my eyes. Service sells more than pretty pictures painted by a hungry salesperson. I believe in delivery the best service possible and exceeding my client's needs. With that being said, I have a closing coming up. My client is relocating. She lives 2 two states away and our closing is at 9am prompt. I called her and asked if she would like for me to book her a hotel room so she would have no trouble making it to her closing the morning. She had planned on taking the bus from ny to pa as she did when she came to pa to looking for her home. She was socked! "YOU CAN DO THAT?" Yes I said and booked her room. I mean, it is important that she is here to close right? So I go on about my day and I informed the listing agent of my plans to assure him there would be no issues. He was shocked as well? "YOU GOT HER A ROOM?" Yeah, I did. Why is there such a surprise in delivering service? I'm puzzled.....

ok was i crazy for doing tihs? the listing agent sounded shocked.... i figured that this was a no hassle sale. the buyer knew exactly what her position was. i only showed her three homes. we made an offer on the first one i showed her. she didn't give me the run around on anything so i thought that the most i could do was make her closing as smooth as possible.

I don't think you were crazy for doing this at all!  I would have done the same thing, and I think it's a great way to show how you are really a 5-Star REALTOR!  Way to go that extra mile.  She'll remember you down the road.

yeah thanks. her closing didn't happen that day so i lost money on the room,lol as a matter of fact, funny that you respond today because today was the day she closed. she couldn't get off work to be here so i had to get power of attorney from her all the way in brooklyn where i took a trip to last weekend. on top of that, her second closing date was on her birthdate and drama with her lender stopped it from happening that day so i gave her one of my paintings i recently bought in the dominican republic to make her happy... the we do for our clients...
